Homemade Chocolates and Lollipops–How To Make Chocolate At Home- Kids Recipe

Ingredient –

  • Brown chocolate (Bars or Chips)
  • If you are using bars then break the chocolate bars into the  small pieces
  • White chocolate (Bars or Chips)
  • Butter / Vegetable oil – 1/2 tsp.
  • Chocolate Mold and Lollipop Mold
  • Lollipop Sticks (for lollipop chocolates)
  • You can use the chocolate wrapping papers/or foil to wrap the chocolates and Lollipops.

Method –

  1. Boiled 2 cups of water into the pan on medium heat.
  2. Place Melt the white chocolate chips in a bowl either using double boiler or in microwave.
  3. Add Butter / Vegetable oil – 1/2  tsp.
  4. Keep stirring until it melts completely and keep aside.
  5. Do the same for brown chocolate also.
  6. Wisk till it become smooth.
  7. Now drop the melted chocolates into molds with the help of spoon, make sure not fill it completely.
  8. You can mix fruit flavor color into melted white chocolate to prepare two different color.
  9. Similarly you can use lollipop sticks and mold to prepare different colors of lollipops,
  10. Pat the mold on surface to spread the chocolate evenly into the mold.
  11. This will help the chocolate to reach into all the corners of the mold.
  12. Keep it in fridge for sometime, so it can settle down.
  13. Once the chocolate cool down, remove from molds.
  14. You can use the chocolate wrapping papers/or foil to wrap the chocolates.
  15. Chocolates and lollipops are ready.. Enjoy!!!

Swiss Roll with coconut or cashew nuts – Eggless Swiss Roll – Fireless Recipe

Preparation Time:  30-35 min

Serving: 4-5 person

Ingredients –

  1. Marie Biscuits or any other brand light taste biscuit – 2oo gm
  2. Unsweetened coco powder – 3 tsp
  3. Instant Coffee powder – 1 tsp
  4. Butter – 3 tsp
  5. Greeted coconut powder – 1 cup
  6. Sugar powder – 2 tsp
  7. Sweetened condensed milk – 2 tsp

Method –

  • Put the Biscuits in a zip lock and use a rolling pin to crush the Biscuits into fine powder (you can also use blender).
  • Add crushed biscuits, unsweetened coco powder, coffee powder, butter- 2 tsp, and condensed milk in a bowl and mix them well to make soft dough. Keep it aside in a separate container.

  • Add coconut powder, sugar, butter- 1 tsp in a bowl and mix well. Once the coconut mixture is ready, keep it aside.
  • Take the biscuit dough prepared above on a plastic wrap and roll it out with rolling pin (belna). Do not roll the biscuit layer very thin.

  • Spread the coconut mix on the biscuits layer and roll both the layers along with the plastic wrap.

  • Now wrap the flattened dough, as shown in the picture below.

  • Keep the Choco biscuit/Swiss roll in fridge for 2-3 hours.

  • After 2-3 hours cut the roll into slices and serve.

Oreo / Parle G (Any kind of Cream Biscuits) Truffles/Balls Recipe – Kids Recipe – Chocolate Recipe

Preparation time: 60-65 minutes

Serving: 13-14 balls

Ingredients –

  1. Oreo biscuits- 20-25 piece
  2. Cheese cream/unsweetened condensed milk- ¾ cup
  3. White chocolate (bars/chips) – 1 cup
  4. Brown chocolate (bars/chips) – 1 cup

Method –

  • Put the biscuits in a zip lock bag and use a rolling pan to crush the biscuits in fine powder (you can use blender also).

  • Take a bowl add crushed biscuits and cheese cream, mix together and make a soft dough.

  • Take a small portion of prepared dough make a lemon size ball.
  • Keep it in refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.

  • Now melt both the white and brown chocolate separately in a double boiler or microwave for 1-2  minutes.

  • Whisk both the white and brown chocolate separately till it becomes smooth and become little cold.

  • Using a spoon dip one Oreo at a time in the melted brown chocolate to get a smooth chocolate coating all over the balls. Repeat the same for white chocolate for rest of the balls.
  • Now place the chocolate coated balls in a separate plate to cool down for 5-10 minutes.
  • Now using a fork make striped patterns of white chocolate on the brown balls and brown patterns on the white balls or you can decorate like this also.

  2. Dry fruits ( as per your choice) Cashew nuts, Sliced almonds and  Pistachio (Pista)
  3. Brown chocolate (Bars or Chips)

Method –

  • Break the White chocolate bars in small pieces(not required if using chocolate chips).
  • Put some water in a pan and boil on medium heat.
  • Once it starts boiling place the container with chocolate pieces over the pan to make it double boiler.
  • Keep stirring until they get melted completely.
  • Take sheet of butter paper, pour thick layers of melted chocolate and spread.
  • Now, put some dry fruits upon the chocolate layers.
  • Keep it in fridge and let it cool down completely.
  • Cut it into pieces into square shapes.

Homemade Chocolate and Lollipops

Ingredient –

  1. Brown chocolate (Bars or Chips) – 1 cup
  2. White chocolate (Bars or Chips) – 1 cup
  3. Dry fruits (almonds, raisins, walnut, etc.)
  4. Chocolate Mold
  5. Lollipop Sticks (for lollipop chocolates)

Method –

  • Melt the chocolate chips/bars in a container either using double boiler or in microwave.
  • Break the chocolate bars in small pieces (not required if using chocolate chips) place in a microwave safe bowl and heat the chocolate for 30 seconds. Whish till it become smooth, you can heat for another 10-20 seconds if chocolate is not melted properly.
  • In case of stove, break the chocolate bars in small pieces (not required if using chocolate chips) and place it in double boiler for melting on medium flame. Keep stirring until they get melted completely. Keep a side for 4-5 minutes.

To prepare the double boiler at home, place an container with 2-3 cups of water on stove and place another container slightly less than the size of the container at the bottom, and bring the water to boil.

  • Now drop the melted chocolates into molds with spoon, make sure not fill it completely.

  • Pat the mold on surface to spread the chocolate evenly into the mold and this will help the chocolate to reach into all the corners of the mold.

  • Place it in freezer for 10 -15 minutes.
  • To prepare the marvel chocolate, topup the mold with brown chocolate keeping the mold half empty, pat the mold and then add white chocolate in another half of the mold and pat the mold. You can also use white chocolate first and then add brown chocolate.
  • Alternately you can mix fruit flavor color to prepare two different color and prepare marvel chocolate.
  • Place the marvel chocolate in freeze for 10-15 minutes.
  • To prepare chocolate with nuts. Pour the melted chocolates in the mold leaving half empty, then add nuts of your choice which can fit in the mold and then pour rest of the melted chocolate to cover the nut inside the chocolate.

  • Pat the mold on surface and Place it in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  • After 10 – 15 minutes chocolate are ready to eat.
  • Similarly you can use lollipop sticks and mold to prepare different colors of lollipops, as shown in the image below.

  • You can use the chocolate wrapping papers/or foil to wrap the chocolates.
  • These are few different ways you can prepare the different types of chocolates, you can use your creativity to mix and match the color, use different design of molds readily available in the market.

Chocolate Samosa for Kids

Chocolates are always one of the most tempting items when it we talk about foods and specially when it comes to children. So during this festive season I though why not give my daughter something new which is a combination of both Indian and western dishes, so the first thing which came to my mind is chocolate samosa. And I am very sure your children’s will also like this.

Ingredients –

  1. Plain flour – 1 cup
  2. Oil – 2 tsp
  3. Sugar – ½ cup
  4. Cardamom power – 2 pinch
  5. Chocolate chips/bars for filling

Method-

  • Take a bowl, mix flour (maida) and oil, with help of water prepare the dough and knead thoroughly.
  • Make sure the dough should not be too hard nor too soft. Cover and keep it aside for 10-15 to let it settle down.
  • After 10-15 minutes the dough is ready, press it gently to make it smooth.
  • Take small portion from the dough and roll them into small balls.
  • Now roll each one of them using a rolling pin of approximately 3-3 ½ inches in diameter.
  • Apply little bit of oil, to each ball and roll them into small oblong shapes.
  • Cut each into halves and shape them into cones.

  • Take 4-5 piece of chocolate in the cones and fold the edges a bit.
  • Apply water on the edges to seal the samosa.

  • Repeat the same process for rest of the dough balls and keep them aside for 5 to 6 minutes. This will also allow the samosa pocket to seal properly.

  • Heat oil in a pan/kadai, deep fry samosa on medium heat till it turns golden brown.

  • Add ½ cup sugar with 1 ½ cup of water in another pan to make sugar syrup. Cook it until all the sugar dissolves into the water and become little thick (approx. 4-5 minutes).
  • When the syrup is ready, turn off the flame, add cardamom powder into it and allow it to cool down for few minutes.
  • Dip the fried Chocolate samosa, 2-3 at a time into the sugar syrup for few seconds and transfer to another plate.

  • Chocolate samosa is ready, allow it to become cold before you serve.

Homemade Donuts/Chocolate Donuts

Ingredients-

  1. Maida-1 cup,
  2. Wheat flour-1cup,
  3. Lukewarm milk- 3/4 cup
  4. Butter-1 cup (unsalted)
  5. Instant dry active yeast-1 pack (1 tsp.)
  6. Sugar-1/3 cup
  7. Salt-1/2 tsp.
  8. Vanilla extract-1 tsp.
  9. For garnishing-
    • White chocolate
    • Brown chocolate
    • Powdered sugar

Methods-

  • Take a large bowl add lukewarm milk add yeast and mix well. Keep it aside for 5 min.
  • After 5 min add sugar, Maida, wheat flour and butter. Mix it well and make a soft dough.
  • Spread some dry flour on the chopping board or a flat clean surface. Now with help of rolling pin (belna) roll it in a round circle with half-inch thickness.
  • Cut donuts with help of donuts cutter. If you don’t have donut cutter, you can use glass or a bowl. Make a hole in the center with a small cap of any bottle.
  • Place them on the plate. Brush the doughnuts with some oil so that they don’t dry. Cover and keep aside for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours the size of’ donuts will increase in almost double of its size and ready for fry.
  • Keep the oil medium hot, also keep the flame on medium. Fry until the turn golden brown in color.
  • Now dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar.
  • Melt chocolate in the microwave for few min or double boiler on the stove on medium temperature until chocolate melts.
  • Wisk and coat the doughnuts into melted chocolate.
  • You can also use white chocolate for garnishing brown chocolate doughnuts and brown chocolate for garnishing white chocolate doughnuts.
  • Alternately you can also use sparkle to garnish the donuts
  • Your doughnuts are ready.
