Green Palak Puri–Spinach Puri–How To Make Healthy Palak Puri

Ingredients –

  1. Whole wheat flour -2 cups
  2. Spinach (palak) -1/2 cup (wash and dry)
  3. Ajwain/carom seeds –1 tsp.
  4. Salt to taste

Method –

  • Add ajwain, salt into the wheat flour and mix well.
  • Grind the spinach for few seconds to make a paste.
  • Add grinded paste into the wheat flour and knead into a soft dough.
  • You can add sufficient water to knead the dough.
  • Cover and set aside for 10 minutes
  • Take small portion of the dough and shape them into small ball..
  • Sprinkle some dry flour and flatten the dough balls with a rolling pin to make Puri.
  • Heat sufficient oil in a kadhi on medium heat.
  • Put Puri into hot oil, fry Puri till both sides turn little brown.
  • Green spinach/palak puri is ready to serve.
  • You can eat this dish with Baby potato curry.

Hyderabadi Mirch Ka Saalan- Mirch Ka Saalan for Biryani- Mirch ka saalan in less oil and without Ginger/Garlic

Ingredients –

  1. Sesame seeds –1 tbsp.
  2. Peanuts –1 tbsp.
  3. Coconut powder –1 tbsp
  4. Vegetable Oil –2 tbsp
  5. Cumin/jeera  seeds –1 tbsp.
  6. Turmeric powder –1 tsp.
  7. Mirchi/chilli –3-4 (wash and dry)
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Red Chilli powder as per your taste
  10. Garam masala –1 tsp.
  11. Chopped onions –1 cup
  12. Tamarind juice – 1 tbsp

Method-

  • Heat a pan, add peanuts, sesame seeds, coconuts powder and cook on low heat until it turns golden color.
  • Heat oil in the  pan, fry chilli for 1-2 min on medium heat and set aside.
  • You can use the same pan and add little oil, cumin seeds and cook onions for 2-3 minutes.
  • Blend fried onion and roasted ingredients along with 2 to 3 tsp water and make a thick paste.
  • Heat oil into the kadhi/pan, add cumin seeds, grinded paste and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat.
  • Add red chilli powder, salt to taste, turmeric powder, tamarind  juice and garam masala and mix well.
  • Add enough water stir and make a thin gravy. Cook for 1-2 minute on medium heat add fried chilies and simmer on a low heat for 1 minute…

Green Grape Fresh Juice(Sharbat)- Summer Drink Recipe- Juice for Weight Loss

Ingredients –

  1. Seedless green grapes –1 cup
  2. Roasted cumin powder–1/2 tsp (as per your taste)
  3. Black salt to taste
  4. Sugar as your taste
  5. Lemon juice –1 tsp

Method-

  • Add all ingredients into the blender jar/juicer.
  • Grind the mixture for few seconds to prepare the juice.
  • Pour the juice into a separate container using strainer, to remove extra pulp.
  • Grape juice is ready, add ice cubes and serve chilled.

Capsicum (Red,Green,Yellow) Chutney Recipe–South Indian Style–Easy And Quick Capsicum/Bell Pepper Chutney

Ingredients –

  1. Chopped capsicum (any color) –1 cup
  2. Chopped onions –1 cup
  3. Garlic –1-2 cloves
  4. Coconut powder/pieces – 1 tsp.(optional)
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Oil –2 tbsp.(if needed add little more oil )
  7. Green chilli or red chilli powder (as per you taste)

Seasoning

  1. Curry leaves – 6-7
  2. Mustard seeds –1 tsp.
  3. Whole dry red chilli -1
  4. Asafetida (hing) –1 pinch
  5. Oil –1 tsp

Method-

  • Add oil to a hot  pan add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, garlic and sauté till it becomes slightly soft.
  • Turn off the heat and let it cool down.
  • Add fried ingredients into a jar add 1-2 tsp water, coconut (optional), chilli (as per your taste) and blend till it becomes smooth paste.
  • Transfer the paste into the bowl and add salt to taste.
  • Heat a small pan add oil, mustard seeds and hing.
  • When mustard seeds begin to crackle add curry leaves fry till they turn crisp and pour the over the capsicum chutney.
  • Capsicum chutney is ready to serve….

Note –You can serve this chutney with Dosa, Idli, Puri, Paratha, etc…
