Beetroot Barfi / Burfi ( चुकंदर की बर्फी )– Beetroot Recipe–Indian Sweets

Ingredients –

  • Grated Beetroot (Peel and finely grate with grater) – 1 medium size 
  • Ghee / Butter – 1 tbsp.
  • Khoya / Mawa / Dried evaporated milk solids – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup (as per your taste)
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tbsp.
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped Cashew nut – 1/2 cup
  • Wafers (as per your choice) – 1 packet
  • Aluminum foil

Method –

  1. Heat non-stick pan/ Khadai with ghee then add beetroot and sauté.
  2. Add crushed Khoya, Sugar cook  well till melts.
  3. Add Cardamom powder, Milk and mix.
  4. When the mixture becomes slightly thick and start leaving the side of the pan, turn off the heat.
  5. Add half chopped Cashew nut and mix.
  6. Transfer this to the Aluminum foil and  spread it with the spatula.
  7. Spread out the mixture evenly.
  8. Let cool down and set for 30 minutes.
  9. With the help of knife cut the wafers in 2 halves, now split the wafers.
  10. Barfi mixture is settled down, place the wafer pieces gently over the barfi.
  11. Using a knife, cut the mixture into the shape of barfi.
  12. Take one piece of a barfi at a time and cover the other side also with wafer split.
  13. Enjoy the delicious beetroot barfi.
  14. Refrigerate and use within 2 weeks.

Milk Cake(मिल्क केक)–Indian Sweets–How To Make Milk Barfi/ Burfi–Festival Recipe

Ingredients –

  • Milk – 2 liter
  • Sugar – 1 cup (as per your taste)
  • Ghee / Butter – ½ tsp.
  • Citric Acid – 1/2 or Lemon juice – 2 tbsp.
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp.

Method –

  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a large thick-bottomed non-stick kadhai on high heat.
  2. Continue to cook, stirring continuously, for about one and a half hours, or till the milk becomes grainy and begins to thicken.
  3. Now add green cardamom powder, lemon juice  in to the mixture and mix well.
  4. Cook till the mixture begins to leave the sides of the kadhai.
  5. When the milk gets thick and grainy in texture, add sugar and mix well.
  6. When the milk gets thick in consistency, the color gets brown in color and it emits good aroma.
  7. Turn off the heat.
  8. Take a tray for setting the milk cake and grease it nicely with some ghee/ butter.
  9. Immediately, pour this hot mixture into the tray and spread it evenly.
  10. Keep aside the tray to set. Within 24 hours, milk cake sets completely.
  11. Milk cake is ready, cut into squares and serve.
  12. Refrigerate and use within 2 weeks.

Khoya / Mawa Barfi (खोया बर्फी )- Milk Khoya Burfi–How To Make Barfi

Ingredients –

  • Mawa Or Khoya Or Dried evaporated milk solids – 2 cups
  • Milk Powder – 2 tbsp.
  • Sugar Powder – 3/4 cups (as per your taste)
  • A tray covered with Aluminum foil

For Garnishing –

  1. You can garnishing with tutti frutti, Blanched Pistachio (Pista),  almonds , Silver warq (optional)

Method –

  1. Crumble it the khoya nicely.
  2. Add khoya, milk powder and sugar powder into the pan.
  3. Begin to cook on a low heat stirring.
  4. Sugar melts and makes the mixture gooey.
  5. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes so it doesn’t burn..
  6. When the mixture becomes slightly thick and start leaving the side of the pan.
  7. Switch off the heat.
  8. Transfer this to the foil and spread it with the spatula.
  9. Allow it to cool down for 10 minutes.
  10. After 10 minutes garnish with sliver warq.
  11. Keep it in fridge for sometime, so it can settle down.
  12. Once the khoya barfi cool down, remove Aluminum foil from khoya mixture.
  13. Cut to desired shapes with knife.
  14. Khoya Barfi is ready to serve.
  15. Refrigerate and use with in 4 to 5 days.

आम की बर्फी–Mango Bafri–Summer Recipe- Mango Fudge Bars- Mango kalakand

Ingredients –

  • Mango Pulp – 2 Cups (Peel two big sized mangoes,  take out the pulp, grind it to a paste)
  • Sugar- 1/3 cups (as per your taste)
  • Ghee / Butter – 1 tbsp.
  • Dry Milk Powder – 1 1/2 tbsp.
  • Dry Coconut Powder – 1 1/2 tbsp.
  • Green cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp.
  • For Garnishing –
    Blanched Pistachio (Pista)

Method –

  1. Pour Ghee in the pan and heat it on medium heat.
  2. Once the ghee melts, add mango puree to it.
  3. Add dry milk powder, coconut powder and green cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp.
  4. Keep stirring, so it doesn’t burn.
  5. Take a tray and cover with Aluminum foil
  6. Cook  till the mixture forms a thick consistency
  7. When the mixture gets thick like a halwa, and starts to leave the corners of the pan.
  8. Turn off the heat.
  9. Immediately, pour this hot mixture into the tray and spread it evenly.
  10. Press it gently and sprinkle some Pista.
  11. Keep it in fridge for sometime, so it can settle down.
  12. Once Mango barfi  settled, cut it into pieces as per shape of your choice.
  13. Mango Barfi is ready to serve.
  14. Store in the refrigerator for a week.

फ्रेश नारियल / खोपरा बर्फी -Coconut Barfi–Nariyal Barfi–Kobbari Mithai

Ingredients –

  • Fresh Grated coconut
  • Sugar – 1/3 cup (as per your taste)
  • Green cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • A tray covered with Aluminum foil

For Garnishing –

  1. You can garnishing with tutti frutti, Blanched Pistachio (Pista),  almonds ,Silver warq (optional)

Method –

  1. Heat a pan, on a medium heat.
  2. Cut coconut pieces into small pieces into the mixer jar & make a fine powder.
  3. Add coconut powder, sugar and cardamom powder into a pan.
  4. Keep Stirring constantly, let the sugar dissolve completely.
  5. Mix and begin to heat on a low heat.
  6. In a few minutes, the sugar will begin to dissolve.
  7. When the coconut burfi is almost done, the mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan and you will also see foamy bubbles rise from it.
  8. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes so it doesn’t burn..
  9. Cook until all the sugar water is absorbed and begins to smell good.
  10. Turn off the heat.
  11. Immediately, pour this hot mixture into the tray and spread it evenly.
  12. Pour the mixture and then spread it evenly.
  13. Let it cool down for sometime, so it can settle down.
  14. Once coconut barfi  settled, cut it into pieces as per shape of your choice.
  15. Fresh Coconut Barfi is ready to serve.
  16. Store in the refrigerator for a week.

Peanut Barfi / Katli (मूंगफली से बनाये स्वादिष्ट बर्फी)- Winter Recipe- Moongfali–Healthy Bars

  1. Peanuts / Groundnuts – 1 cup (soak the almonds in water for 3-4 hours and peel)
  2. Sugar – 1/3 cup (as per your taste)
  3. Clarified butter/ghee – 1 tsp.
  4. A tray covered with Aluminum foil

For Garnishing –

  1. Blanched Pistachio (Pista)

Method –

  • Add some water and Grind peeled almonds in to fine paste.
  • Heat the  kadhai/non-stick pan on medium heat.
  • Add peanuts paste and cook on a low to medium heat.
  • Keep stirring, time to time so it doesn’t burn..
  • Cook until all the water is absorbed and begins to smell good.
  • Add sugar and Mix well.
  • Keep cooking it for some more time until it becomes thick paste.
  • Once its ready, switch off the heat.
  • Place the peanuts mixture into the tray and then spread it evenly across the tray.
  • Press it gently and sprinkle some Pista.
  • Keep it in fridge for sometime, so it can settle down.
  • Once it settled ,out the tray and cut it into pieces as per the shape of your choice.
  • Peanuts / Groundnuts Barfi/Katli is ready to serve.

Tomato Barfi (बस15 Min में बनाये टमाटर की बर्फी या हलवा की मेहमान उंगलिया चाटते रह जायेगे) Tomato Recipe

Ingredients –

  • Tomatoes – 3-4
  • Coconut powder – 1 cup
  • Sugar (as per your taste)
  • Ghee / butter – 1 tbsp (if needed you can add )
  • Green Cardamom powder
  • Khoya / Mawa (optional)
  • Muskmelon seeds – 1 tbsp.

For garnishing –

  • Blanched Pistachio (Pista)
  • Blanched almonds
  • Silver warq (optional)

Method –

    1. Heat a pan, add ghee on a medium heat.
    2. Cut tomato into small pieces into the mixer jar & make a fine paste.
    3. Add tomato paste and cardamom powder into a pan.
    4. Add coconut powder and mix well.
    5. Add sugar and muskmelon seeds ,mix well.
    6. Cover and cook on a low to medium heat.
    7. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes so it doesn’t burn..
    8. Cook until all the water is absorbed and begins to smell good.
    9. Add dry fruits and mix well.
    10. Once mixture is ready, turn off the heat.
    11. Apply ghee / butter on the plate.
    12. If you like you can use aluminum foil
    13. Pour the mixture and then spread it evenly.
    14. Press it gently with a spoon.
    15. Sprinkle some pista and almonds.
    16. Let it cool down for sometime, so it can settle down.
    17. Once tomato barfi  settled, cut it into pieces as per shape of your choice.

Sheera Recipe-Suji/Semolina Halwa(सूजी का हलवा)–Suji Ki Barfi

Ingredients –

  • Suji/ Semolina – 1 cup
  • Sugar(as per your taste)
  • Ghee/ Butter – 2 tsps. (if required you can add more)
  • A pinch of Cardamom Powder

For garnishing –

  • Fine chopped Pistachio, Almonds
  • Saffron (Optional)
  • Food color (yellow) Optional

Method –

  1. Heat a pan, add suji and fry on a low heat.
  2. Until it begins to smell good and turn to light golden color.
  3. When it fried completely turn off the heat.
  4. Add 2 cups water, sugar, ghee and cardamom powder to another pan and boil on medium heat.
  5. Once water is boiled, pour it slowly to the suji.
  6. Cover and cook on a low to medium heat.
  7. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes so it doesn’t burn..
  8. Cook until all the water is absorbed.
  9. Add chopped dry fruits, mix well.
  10. Once mixture is ready, turn off the heat.
  11. Apply ghee / butter on the plate.
  12. Pour the mixture and then spread it evenly.
  13. Press it gently with a spoon.
  14. Sprinkle some pista and almonds.
  15. Let it cool down for sometime, so it can settle down.
  16. Once Suji ka halwa settled, cut it into pieces as per shape of your choice.

7 Cups Burfi(बर्फी बनाये एक नए तरीके से )-Barfi Recipe

Ingredients –

  • Besan / chickpea flour/ gram flour –1 cup
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Ghee / butter – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2 cups (as per your taste)
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp.
  • Dry fruits (powder) – 1 cup (optional)

Method –

  1. Heat a pan on medium heat.
  2. Add besan and begin to roast until it turns light golden in color.
  3. Keep stirring time to time.
  4. Add coconut powder and mix well.
  5. Roast for 2 minutes on low heat.
  6. Add sugar, milk, cardamom powder and ghee.
  7. Mix well, cook on medium to low heat.
  8. Continue cooking until the mixture begins to thicken.
  9. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes so it doesn’t burn..
  10. Cook till it becomes little dry.
  11. Once mixture is ready, turn off the heat.
  12. Apply ghee or you can also use butter paper or aluminum foil on the tray.
  13. Pour the mixture and then spread it evenly across the tray.
  14. Press it gently with a spoon.
  15. Let it cool down for sometime, so it can settle down.
  16. Once 7 cups barfi settled, cut it into pieces as per shape of your choice.
