Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Ingredients –

  1. Mozzarella cheese or paneer – 3 stick
  2. Refined flour (Maida) – ½ cup
  3. Corn flour- ½ cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Black pepper powder – 2 pinch
  6. Italian seasoning – 1 tsp
  7. Bread crumbs
  8. Oil for deep frying
  9. Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  10. Egg (optional) – 1

Method –

Without egg –

  • Take mozzarella cheese sticks / paneer and cut into thick strips.
  • Take a bowl add Maida, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, corn flour and red chili powder mix all together.
  • Add little water and stir until all lumps gets dissolve, make a smooth batter and rest the batter for 5 minutes.
  • Dip stick into the batter, roll in bread crumbs to coat them well, again dip stick into the batter and roll in bread crumbs, do the same for all the sticks.

  • Keep it in freezer for 5-6 hours.
  • After 5-6 hours deep fry mozzarella stick in hot oil till it turns light golden in color and crisp.

  • Mozzarella cheese stick is ready, serve hot with ketchup.

With egg –

  • Take a bowl add Maida, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, corn flour and red chili powder mix all together, keep it side.
  • Break the egg in the other bowl and whisk.

  • Roll the stick into the maida mixture, dip in the egg bowl and roll in bread crumbs. Repeat the same process for 1 more time.

  • Keep it in freezer for 5-6 hours.
  • After 5-6 hours deep fry mozzarella stick in hot oil till it turns light golden in color and crisp.
